7月8日に名古屋大学で開かれた平成26年度愛知県留学生交流推進協議会総会の後、立命館大学東京キャンパス所長 塩田邦成氏をお招きして講演会が開かれました。
「留学生の受け入れと大学における業務の変化について－立命館における業務と職員の国際化－」という演題で、立命館大学が留学生受入に踏み切った経緯や留学生拡大のために新たに実施あるいは変更した業務内容について講演いただきました。学内外からの多くの来場者は真剣に話に聞き入り、盛況のうちに終えることができました。
留学生受入れにとどまらず、大学の国際展開、グローバル化する産業界のニーズに対応した人材育成について考える機会となりました。

The lecture, set up by the Aichi Association for International Students, took place on July 8, 2014, following the AAIS annual assembly. Mr. Kuninari Shiota, Director of Ritsumeikan Tokyo Campus was invited as a guest speaker. He gave a lecture titled "About the acceptance of international students and the changes in the business content of university - internationalization in the aspect of business content and staff at Ritsumeikan University" to the participants from many different backgrounds. In the lecture, he explained why Ritsumeikan University decided to accept the international students and how they changed their business contents. Participants from many different backgrounds listened the lecture enthusiastically.
The lecture gave the audience opportunities to think about campus globalization and to explore around ideas on how to produce Global Talents who can meet increasingly internationalized industrial demands.
